RHS introduces their new logo & branding
Research
In the research phase of the Roseville Historical Society rebrand, we conducted a thorough analysis to inform our design decisions. This included a competitive analysis of other historical societies and community event planners to identify successful branding strategies. Additionally, we delved into past Roseville branding, noting the recurring motif of horses, which reflect the area's historical significance in equestrian culture. This research provided valuable insights that guided our approach to the rebranding process.
Design
Drawing inspiration from Roseville's equestrian heritage, our design phase focused on creating a logo that symbolizes the society's connection to the community's history. We incorporated a stylized rose emblem with a horse motif, representing both the society's historical roots and its commitment to preserving local heritage. The decision to replace the dot in the 'i' with a star adds a subtle nod to Roseville's prominence and aspiration. Furthermore, we crafted a lettermark emblem featuring the rose, the founding date of the society, and traditional ornamental design elements to pay homage to Roseville's rich history and heritage.
Development
In the development phase, we brought our design concepts to life, refining them to ensure visual impact and usability. We focused on creating a logo that is versatile, scalable, and timeless, suitable for various applications such as signage, stationery, and digital media. Through iterative design iterations and feedback, we fine-tuned the logo to align with the society's brand identity and objectives. The final result is a cohesive and visually compelling logo that embodies the essence of the Roseville Historical Society, honoring the past while embracing the future.
